Eagle Excellence is a program used to reward students for academic
achievement, clean disciplinary records along with excellent attendance records.
Following each grading period, a school assembly is held. Students that have met the
following requirements have their names placed in a drawing. Each rally awards approximately 90 prizes.
These prizes range from MP3 players, prom tickets, off campus lunches, free car washes,
up to our grand prize, which is $150 gift card to best buy. Although students can only win one prize, depending on the
card they receive, their name can be placed in the drawing up to four times.

| Summer College Tour |
In addition to the rallies, the Eagle Excellence Committee
also sponsors the Summer College Tour. For a minimal cost, students attend a seven-day college tour during
the first week in June. This year students will visit LSU, ULL, McNeese, Northwestern, Louisiana Tech, LA
Monroe, Mississippi State, Auburn, and the University of Southern Mississippi. The students will also spend
some fun time visiting Six Flags Water park in Atlanta and Stone Mountain. This trip is offered to students
at a discount because of the donations received from Winn Dixie. Students must be on Eagle Excellence at
least once between the middle of their sophomore year to the middle of their junior year in order to attend
this trip. |
