An Integrated Spiritual Environment

The primary purpose of Archbishop Shaw High School is to foster the spiritual development of its students. The gospel values and teachings of our faith are integrated throughout the school curricula and programs. The school day, classes and lunch begin with a prayer. The students have an opportunity to participate in weekly masses and the saying of the Rosary in the Chapel. The Religious Activities program presents many ways for the students to experience the faith of our Catholic community:

  • Daily religion classes
  • Liturgical services celebrating major Church feast days
  • Special events celebrated with a mass at school
  • Retreat program for each grade level
  • Prayer throughout the school day
  • Peer Ministry program
  • Service Program
  • Faith sharing group
  • The opportunity to provide assistance to activities and programs within the community
  • Bi-School Masses with Academy of Our Lady celebrating St. John Bosco’s Feast Day
